Atiku Abubakar has been presented a certificate of return by the Peoples Democratic Party after he emerged as the party's 2023 presidential candidate last Saturday.
Atiku polled 371 votes to defeat his closest contender Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State, who polled 237 votes.
In a brief ceremony today, the National Chairman of the party, Senator Iyorcha Ayu, presented the certificate to Atiku at the NEC Hall, PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
Those present at the event were members of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC), governors, governorship candidates, presidential aspirants, and members of the Board of Trustees of the party.
