The founder and presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners’ Chapel International, David Oyedepo, has told his members how armed robbers saw his picture and fled.
The fiery cleric, while addressing his members on Saturday morning during the church’s Covenant Hour of Prayer’ live-streamed on Facebook, said armed robbers have not entered the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, for over two decades.
He encouraged his church members to host fellowships in their houses, saying it brings divine protection.
He said, “We have a two-platform church in the new testament – the temple church and the house-to-house church
“There are blessings attached to house fellowship. To have a church in your house means you are hosting an innumerable company of angels. You are hosting the Almighty God in your house.
“Some armed robbers went on a spree at the FCT some years ago and looked up when they were raiding the area and saw the banner – Winners’ Satellite Fellowship holds here – and saw my picture put on that banner.
“The armed robbers said, ‘Look up, baba wa ni bi o’. They saw God there and left. They were very volatile robbers. They shot someone in the eye, blow up the eye in the same area but they passed. Glory to God.
“Robbers have never entered Canaanland for 21 years. How dare you? That is how fortified your house becomes when it becomes a fellowship center.”
