Islambo’s real name is Olajuwon Oluwaseun Opeyemi. He was born on 5 April 1990 and raised in Sango Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. He grew up in a disciplined Christian home, which shaped both his mindset and early musical exposure.

Music did not start for him in a studio. It started in church. He began recording music at around age 11 and was active in the choir. Those early years helped him build vocal strength and stage confidence before stepping into mainstream music.

As a teenager, he formed a group called Young Prophet alongside friends from school and church. They released a collaborative album together, which marked his first serious attempt at structured music work.

His influences include D’banj, P-Square, 2Baba, Michael Jackson, and Bruno Mars. You can clearly hear the blend of performance energy and rhythm control in his delivery style.

In his early phase, his sound leaned heavily toward Afro-Adura, a prayerful and soulful version of Afrobeats that carried strong emotional depth.
