Rayce whose real name is Rayce Amoni Kingsley, is a multi-talented Nigerian singer and songwriter born on November 8, 1993 in Lagos.
Rayce is a versatile musician whose genre of music ranges from Afro-beats, hip hop and R&B.
He grew up listening and watching the likes of Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie which had influenced him to make music.
At the age of 6, he was already inspired to be a music star while starting as a drummer in his church’s band.
Rayce learned about studio production and came through with producing for other artists such as Morachi under the moniker Admire beatz.
In 2002, he began to release material on his own and in 2008 he got signed to the Nigeria record label, Big Don Records where he released his debut album “Get Lifted”.
After so many years of working as an underground artist, Rayce came to limelight in 2011 with the release of his first song “Roll” which became a smash hit in Nigeria gathering massive airplay on radio and among DJ’s. He remained consistent with churning out more singles such as “Wetin Dey” and “Jack Sparrow”.
In 2015, Rayce released his second studio album, D.C.M.R (Dey Call Me Rayce) and later became the first Afro-beats artist to got an international deal with the independent label, Shanachie Records.
