Bauchi Head of Service charges permanent secretaries on service delivery
Bauchi State Head of Civil Service, Yahuza Adamu Haruna, on Monday charged all permanent secretaries in the state civil service to live up to expectations in the course of performing their duties.
Haruna stated this while announcing the new posting of permanent secretaries in the state service as approved by the state governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.
He tasked them to be loyal and committed to serving the present administration in the state.
The Head of Civil Service then charged the permanent secretaries to use their wealth of experience to add value to the service, particularly now that the Governor Mohammed-led administration is doing everything possible to restore the lost glory of the service.
The new postings which Haruna personally signed indicated that Abdulhamid Jibrin moved from Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to Local Government Service Commission, while Barrister Mohammed Sani Umar would now be in charge of Establishment and Servicom Matters Bureau, Office of the Head of Civil Service as against the Ministry of Power, Science and Technology he was before.
Alhaji Aliyu Usman Kawu left State Universal Basic Education to Ministry of Local Government and Chieftain Affairs, Sale Yakubu Ningi is the new Permanent Secretary with SUBEB, Ali Babayo moved from Ministry of Culture and Tourism to Ministry of Health, while Sale Mamman Mumini goes to Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Jibrin M. Yusuf is now Permanent Secretary Government House as Lydia Tsammani retained her position in the Special Service Department, SSG Office.
Others are Abubakar Usman Misau is now the Permanent Secretary General Administration, Office of the Head of Civil Service, Asma’u Sunusi now is the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance and Economic Development. While Danjuma Garba is now Permanent Secretary General Service Department, SSG Office, Sule Adamu Madara mans Ministry of Education and Yakubu Jibrin Abdullahi moves to Ministry of Agriculture.
Others are Bala Manu Gadau, who moves to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Social Welfare, Isa Mohammed Tahir now in the Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Shehu Yahaya Jalam goes to the Ministry of Information and Communication.
While Saratu Musa Jibrin moves to Ministry of Lands and Survey, Aliyu Sulaiman Hardawa goes to Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development, Hannatu Iliya to Ministry of Special Duties and Rural Development, Nathaniel Muazu is the new Permanent Secretary Ministry of Power Science and Technology.
Other Permanent Secretaries, however, maintained their current ministries. These are Engineer Stephen Abubakar (Works and Transport); Maijama’a Dewu (Deputy Governor Office); Engineer Garba Magaji (RUWASSA); Dawud Yakubu (Civil Service Commission); Barrister Aliyu Bin Idris (Justice) and Buhari Adamu Disina (Cooperative and Small Scale Enterprises Development).
The rest are Sama’ ila Ahmad (Commerce Trade and Investment); Mohammed Zakari’ya’u (Water Resources); Idris Saleh Giade (Budget and Economic Planning); Babaji Sulaiman (Housing and Environment); Ahmed Mohammed Zalanga (Teachers Service Commission); Engineer Aminu Gital (General Manager and Permanent Secretary Bauchi State Water Board), while both Dr. Bako Abubakar and Ibrahim Adamu Gambaki are in the Office of the Head of Civil Service.
According to the Head of Civil Service, all the postings are with immediate effect.
Our Source reports that Governor Mohammed had on 17th September 2021 swore in the state new Head of Civil Service and 22 new permanent secretaries and called on them to join hands with his administration to revitalize and reinvigorate the state civil service with a view to regaining its lost glory.
While congratulating them, the governor warned that his administration would not condone mismanagement of resources and bastardization of the civil service for selfish ends.
