Ex Minister of State for Finance and Minister of Commerce and Industry, Senator Jubril Martins-Kuye, has reportedly died. He was 78 years old.
The Late Kuye died in his home at Victoria Garden City, Lagos this morning January 17.
He was born in August 1942 in Ago Iwoye, Ijebu constituency of Ogun State studied sociology at the University of Ibadan (1965-1968) and then Economics at the Harvard University Business School, graduating in 1983. He gained qualifications as a Chartered Accountant.
He served as a senator in the Nigerian Third Republic.
In 1999, he was appointed Minister of State for Finance during the first term of President Olusegun Obasanjo, serving until June 2003. In April 2010, he was appointed the Minister of Commerce and Industry by former President Goodluck Jonathan.
