Former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has spoken about his move to AS Roma.
He spoke on how Coach, Jose Mourinho convinced him to leave Chelsea for Roma
Abraham, who returned to the England squad after a year, spoke to journalists ahead of their Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Andorra said Mourinho had a plan for Roma, and he wants to be a part of it.
He said, “The first thing he said to me was, ‘Do you want to enjoy some sun or stay in the rain?’ I laughed! Jose had a goal. I could see where he wanted Roma to go, and I wanted to be part of the process.”
The 24-year-old also talked about the influence the former Chelsea manager has helped him with his gameplay and in his life.
He said, “He is a good man and has helped me a lot so far. I have learnt so much tactically — as much as I have in my entire lifetime. Jose said the fans would be looking at me to bring some life into the team.
“I knew from the get-go there were going to be a lot of eyes on me. I had to give good first impressions and that is what I have done.”
