Naira Marley Fans Defy Lockdown, Storm Court To Show Support To Him

Despite the lockdown order in the state, fans of singer Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley stormed the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Ogba this morning to show him support as he was being arraigned for flouting the social distancing order of the state government.

Naira Marley was arraigned alongside politician, Babatunde Gbadamosi but the state government decided to not go forward with the prosecution. .

Meanwhile, Lagos state government has withdrawn the charges filed against singer, Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, and former governorship candidate, Babatunde Gbadamosi.

Both men alongside the politicians wife were arriagned before a Magistrate court in Ogba today for flouting social distancing order of the government.

One of the defence counsel, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN), who spoke to journalists after their arraignment, said the government decided to withdraw the charges after the singer and the politician agreed to tender an apology to the President, Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for flouting the directive to stay at home.
