Atletico Madrid captain, Koke has named his teammate and the club’s goalkeeper, Jan Oblak as the best goalkeeper in the world.
Koke attributed their win over Manchester United on Tuesday and their progress to the next round of the competition to Oblak’s performance.
Atletico Madrid dumped Manchester United out of the Champions League, ending the Red Devils’ every dream of winning a silverware this season.
Renan Lodi’s first-half header was the only goal in the second leg clash at Old Trafford and was enough to seal a 2-1 aggregate for the Spanish side
“We deserved the win in the first leg, but fought so hard here to get what we deserved from this tie,” the Atletico Madrid captain told reporters after the game.
“We want to go far in the competition and it’s incredible to still be in it. It’s important for us to still be in the Champions League in what’s an up-and-down season.
“For me, Jan Oblak is the best goalkeeper in the world. He’s shown it once again tonight.”
