Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes has picked Tottenham’s Antonio Conte and Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel as his favourite managers to replace Ralf Rangnick.
Scholes made the selection after watching Man United crash out of the Champions League to Atletico Madrid at Old Trafford last night despite having the advantage going into the second leg with the reversed fixture ending 1-1 in Spain.
PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino and his Ajax counterpart, Erik ten Hag are the leading candidates for the Job.
Tuchel, however, emerged as a leading target after Roman Abramovich was sanctioned by the UK government, leaving Chelsea in a precarious situation.
“I would have gone for Conte or Tuchel now,” Scholes told BT Sport.
“Possibly it looks like he [Tuchel] might be available at the end of the year. Those two are top class elite coaches who I think strike fear into players and win which is the most important thing.
“United with either one of those coaches would be a much better squad.”
