OVERVIEW OF: Zamfara people appreciate Buhari’s efforts on abducted schoolgirls - FG
President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday received a briefing on the schoolgirls abducted from Government Secondary School in Jangebe, Zamafara State.
Leader of the Federal Government delegation to the state, Hadi Sirika, spoke to State House correspondents after the meeting.
Sirika, the Minister of Aviation, expressed optimism that students would soon regain freedom.
“The message we’ve brought back to the President is that the government and people of Zamfara are very appreciative of the efforts of Mr. President, including all of the things that the President had done towards Zamfara.
“The governor also said he has unfettered access to Mr. President. Mr. President has always given him a listening ear, and helped him in so many ways in reaching a peaceful coexistence with his people”, NAN quoted him as saying.
Sirika was in Zamafara on Sunday. He said new measures had been developed by the federal government to end all forms of criminality in the nation.
Other members of the delegation were Ministers of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi; Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Sadiya Umar-Farouq; and Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen.
